How soon will I get my cleaner?
We can normally start your cleaning in a few days. Call our team today for a chat about your requirements and we will recommend the best cleaner for your needs! What if I’m not happy with my cleaner?
If, in the unlikely event, you are not happy with your cleaner – just give us a call to share any concerns you may have and we will get it sorted for you as soon as possible. We pride ourselves on our personal service to ensure you get the best service possible. We have a large database of approved, checked and vetted cleaners so finding a cleaner that meets your requirements is straightforward and hassle-free.
Do you vet your cleaners?
We certainly do! Each and every one of our self-employed cleaners is interviewed and fully vetted before joining the Home and Dry family. They are also fully insured and very experienced in what they do to ensure you get the best service possible. We conduct an in-depth interview and assess whether the cleaner will pass our stringent ‘would we let this person clean our own home?’ test. At this stage we would also conduct all relevant ID checks.
Are your cleaners reference checked?
Yes they are. We only accept cleaners with sparkling references here at the Home and Dry family. We are committed to quality control and so only employ the best people.
What is the minimum number of hours I can book?
The minimum number of hours weekly is two – but we also offer one-off cleans and can tailor our services for bespoke requirements. Whether it’s daily, weekly, fortnightly or monthly call our office on 01243 543877 to discuss your needs with a member of the team.
Are you insured?
We certainly are. We have employer’s liability for £10,000,000 and public and products liability cover for £2,000,000. In order to keep our charges at a very competitive rate, there is an excess of £100 on all claims for which you would be responsible. The insurance cover is offered to provide peace of mind in the event of any major incidents of damage.
Is there a contract?
Our contract is initially for a three-month term. After that the contract is for a one-month period on a rolling basis. Contract terms can be varied to meet your circumstances. For more information, contact one of our team on 01243 543877.
Will I get the same cleaner each week?
Yes. You will get the same dedicated cleaner each week so you know who will be coming and receive a more personal service.
What will my cleaner do?
As well as all the usual vacuuming, dusting and polishing, your cleaner will also clean the bathrooms and kitchen. Windows, ovens and other home help can be arranged in advance. We also offer gardening and shopping services if needed. You can specify jobs and tasks each week and rotate as necessary to ensure you get a service that is tailored to your specific needs.
What are your hourly rates?
Hourly rates differ depending on your geographical location and the frequency of your cleaning service.
Are your cleaners employed by you?
No, each of our cleaners are self-employed. This allows us the most flexibility when sourcing and providing cleaners for our clients. We only source the best cleaners available and take recruitment of self-employed cleaners very seriously.
Do you use your own equipment?
No, we don’t believe that it’s hygienic to take cleaning equipment and cloths from place to place as we risk spreading germs. As the home owner, you know what products work best for your home. We use your equipment, cleaning cloths and products unless clearly stated otherwise.
Can I have a one-off clean?
No problem! We regularly provide one-off cleaning services as we appreciate some people prefer to clean their own homes but occasionally need a bit of a helping hand. What happens if my cleaner is ill?
We have a bank of over 90 home cleaners and we are happy to arrange a suitable replacement cleaner if your cleaner is ill or on holiday.
Do you offer discount for senior citizens?
Yes. We understand that cleaning can be a challenge, particularly to older age groups who may struggle with more strenuous household tasks. All senior citizens receive £10 off their business fee every quarter they remain a client of ours.

Do you do ironing as well?
We love ironing! If the thought of tackling your pile of ironing fills you with dread, let us tackle it! Your cleaner will iron your clothes and even hang them up and put them away for you if you wish. We also offer our very own Home and Dry laundry service where we offer a collection and delivery service for eco-friendly dry cleaning, repairs, alterations, ironing and much more.
